On top of all that, yes there is even more: THE FILM IS A FAULTING UNDER THE COURT CHANGE !In its closing captions, it faults that Carolyn Bryant Donham was never prosecuted, for her part in making the murder happen, the film shows her identify Emmett to the lynch mob after they capture him, and proved false is the rape accusation she made at their trial.
Because this is a faulting of the law position as it still stands now, within the time when the court change provenly exists in the USA, it is a faulting under the court change.
